What about evaluation?
Evaluation, also called assessment, is the process of determining outcomes. For example, after each major segment of the course and at course completion, what have students learned? How well has the professor performed? What areas of student or instructor performance need to be improved?
What
are the two major types of evaluation?
Formative:
feedback used to modify and improve the course that is gained in iterative
fashion (i.e., takes place during course design, development, and
implementation).
Summative: after course delivery. Answers the big question: was the course effective?
